WELCOME TO PETER ISLAND RESORT & HOTEL
Located in the British Virgin Islands across Sir Francis Drake Channel from Road Town, Tortola, Peter Island is virtually untouched but for a single 1,800-acre guest facility, the Peter Island Resort, catering to yachtsmen who come here to enjoy the island's unparalleled anchorages and to visitors who come here to swim, be pampered and find guaranteed privacy away from the more built-up corners of the Virgins. The yacht club component of the Peter Island Resort is popular among veteran yacht owners who appreciate its marina and docking services. The beachfront component includes a wonderful stretch of reef-protected sand in Deadman's Bay facing the Atlantic.
Peter Island features as many as five private beaches along with a picturesque hillside shrouded in tropical gardens. The Peter Island Resort, rated one of the "best places to stay in the world" by Condé Nast Traveler, includes 52 guest accommodations and two private villas. It was renovated and redecorated in 1997, and today it represents an idyllic private Caribbean hideaway. You may sail here yourself or catch the ferry from the Peter Island dock on Tortola just outside of Road Town.
The beach at Deadman's Bay, only a short walk from the resort, is rivaled only by secluded White Bay beach on the other side of the island, a great place for private picnics and relaxing getaways.
Soft white sand is a given, as is warm Caribbean water lapping at your feet and dramatic views of neighboring islands tempting your senses. Peter Island's rates cover unlimited use of resort facilities inlcuding day and evening tennis, a fleet of Hobie Cats, Sunfish and Lasers, a swimming pool and fitness center, and access to any number of outdoor activities including windsurfing, snorkeling, and even mountain biking.
