Virgin Gorda Easter Festival, Virgin Gorda
This festival is three days, beginning the day before Easter. It begins with a cultural fair and continues on through the weekend with musical performances, an Easter egg hunt, Calypso competition, the Grand Easter Monday Parade and a variety of other events.

BVI Spring Regatta & Sailing Festival
Beginning March 31st, the festival is seven days long with plenty of activities for everyone throughout the British Virgin Islands. You can participate in the entire seven day festival, just the four day festival, or the three day Regatta.

The Highland Spring HIHO Windsurfing & Sailing Competition, BVI
Caribbean Travel & Life voted the Highland Spring HIHO event "the most fun you can have standing up" in their list of the best 100 things to do, see, drink or experience in the Caribbean. From June 29-July 6 you can compete in windsurfing and sailing races all around the British Virgin Islands, participate in virtually every water sport imaginable and enjoy great food and entertainment.

From July 25-August 10 this year, this is an annual festival that celebrates the emancipation of the islands' slaves. Also called August festival, you'll find more than enough to do with the freedom march, emancipation service, Calypso monarch competition, boat races, and a big parade.

October 2008 British Virgin Islands Events

Wreck Week, Tortola
Held the last week in October, Wreck Week is put together by the BVI SCUBA Organization. It is meant to coincide with the anniversary of the sinking of the RMS Rhone, one of the islands' most famous shipwrecks. Festivities include wreck-diving certification courses, pumpkin carving, barbeques, and a treasure hunt.
