Having just returned from Tuscany, Anne-Marie and Glenn offer their insights on what makes Tuscany and its villas wonderful.
The
Tuscany Trip Report, July 2004:
Wimco’s Italian specialists share their villa
insights and experiences with you in this month’s Trip Report to
Tuscany, Italy.

Tuscany:
Anne-Marie says this Villa is Absolutely Gorgeous
This beautiful villa is located in a very panoramic
position in the southern part of Tuscany, only 15kms from
Montepulciano and 15kms from the town of Cortona. We have a
great deal on space left through August.
Florence:
Glenn says this Villa's Proximity to Florence Makes it a Great
Choice
Surrounded by olive groves and recently renovated, Impruneta
Estate is a delightful villa. It is a located only a few
kilometers from from the wonderful museums of Florence and
within walking distance of its namesake village, Impruneta.
Tuscany:
Alison, from the London office, says that this Villa is
Extraordinary
Perched on top of a hill between Lucca and the Camaiore
coast, La Macchietta offers lovely views over vineyards, olive
groves and chestnut woods. The villa, built at the beginning of
the 1900s, has higher ceilings and larger windows than the
classical Tuscan farmhouse.
Tuscany/Umbria:
Our Editor's Pick - Villa Salicotta
Spacious rooms, comfortable furnishings and lots of outside
living spaces make villa Salicotta the perfect choice for
enjoying Italy's autumn harvest. This villa is conveniently
located within easy day trips to Cortona, Gubbio and Siena.
Tuscany:
The Fonteverde Terme Hotel
Once a Medici residence, the Fonteverde Terme has been restored
to its former beauty and transformed into an exclusive resort.
On the outside you will experience peace and nature; the
inside, enjoy Italian styling and the art of hospitality.
Florence:
Survey the Arno River Valley from the Hotel Villa San Michele
Formerly a 15th-century Franciscan monastery, the Villa San
Michele is surrounded by its own gardens and woodland on the
Fiesole hills. The hotel's façade, attributed to Michelangelo,
and the imposing lateral Loggia looking towards Florence, date
from the year 1600.
