WIMCO Villas
UPDATE ON
St. Barths

While the storms of September may have battered some islands, the remarkable people of St. Barths are cleaning-up, repairing villas, reopening restaurants, and preparing to welcome you this season! We can't wait to tell you about it!

Beaches & Infrastructure
Grand Cul de Sac We are happy to report that roads are open, electricity and water have been restored, and other than a fair amount of lost foliage, the island is back on its feet.

The beaches of St. Barths have been swept and cleaned, and were officially reopened on October 6. Check out our social network feeds for photos of Saline, Gouverneur, St Jean and more.

TIP If it's been on your bucket list, this year ask us to arrange a gourmet picnic lunch at Colombier beach. Make the 20 minute hike from Petite Anse, take a dip, have lunch on the beach, then return by boat. Ask WIMCO's concierge for details.

Where can we have lunch on the beach?
Lunch at La Plage A few favorites may not reopen in time for the holidays, however you won't lack fun options. For a see and be seen lunch, try Shellona Beach, the new outpost on Shell Beach, or old favorite La Plage on St Jean beach. Seeking a hidden gem? Try Annie's La Langouste on Flamands beach, for old St. Barths vibes plus the best spiny lobster.

Yes, there are flights!
Yes, there are flights! Good news! Tradewind, Win-Air and St. Barth Commuter resumed daily flights into St. Barths in early October from San Juan and St. Martin respectively, and Air Antilles has flights from Guadeloupe. Our air department suggests trying San Juan this year as your jumping off point as there appear to be less flights scheduled to St. Martin.

TIP If you are the type who always books your own flights, this year might be the year you let WIMCO's air department help you out. With the airlines changing schedules daily it helps to have a pro in your corner to find the best options.

Dinner plans, s'il vous plait?
Bar d'Oubli is open now! At last count 50 restaurants were telling us they will be open for the holidays - no shortage of options for a special night out. We are excited for cocktails at Bar de L'Oubli, dinner in the garden at Tamarin, risotto over candlelight at Isola, and fun group dinners at La Guerite. What else will be open? Maya's, Francois Plantation, Eddy's, L'Esprit, Black Ginger, Hideaway, Orega, Le Repaire and more!

TIP Remember The Strand in Gustavia, above Casa Nikki? It's opening this Friday October 28th as "Ociela." We can't wait to try it! The team behind Shellona & La Guerite are opening "Victoria", right on the quai.

Let's Dance (or meet for a drink)
Cocktails at 25 Quarter If you're accustomed to New Year's in St. Barths, you know that there is a great nightlife scene (if you're seeking it). You have dancing on tables at Bagatelle, bubbly and burlesque at Le Ti, or a night cap at Modjo in St. Jean. 25 Quarter in Gustavia is a great place for pre-or post dinner drinks, too.  It wouldn't be New Years in St. Barths without a few surprise parties...so stay tuned, and maybe check PageSix.

Villas
Every day our amazing WIMCOsbh team is inspecting villas and completing progress reports so that have a re-opening date for each and every villa. (Shout out to Laurent, Thibault, David, Antoine, Guillaume, Moe, Jules and Fanny for all their hard work!) Here are some of the villas that are still available for the Holidays. Our St. Barths villa specialists are standing by to assist in your selection process... you are in good hands.
