High Design in the Caribbean Villa Sundeck on St Barts
The latest new villa on St Barts is the two bedroom Villa Sundeck on Pointe Milou available exclusively through villa specialist, Wimco (www.wimco.co.uk / 0870 850 1144).
Villa Sundeck is a very contemporary looking villa by architects Michel Beugnet and Jacques Thenault. Built on one level, it is completely white in design apart from the grey limestone floor. The designers have combined raw concrete, chrome and glass with 60s and 70s inspired furniture to stunning effect. Furniture is all custom made for the villa with, for example, armchairs by Le Corbusier and beds, banquettes and sofas by Pierre Lissoni. Each bedroom has its own private terrace with a hot tub.
Outside there are is a lily pond and two swimming pools flowing one into the other and views westward over the Caribbean to St Martin and eastward to Turtle island.
A week's rental of Villa Sundeck is £4,118 from mid April to mid December and £7,059 from January to mid April. Over Christmas and New Year the price rises to £14,706 per week.
