Top Beaches With Villas In St. Martin/ St. Maarten
Plum Bay (Baie Aux Prunes), St. Martin
Located in the private French neighborhood of Terres Basses, Plum Bay is a quiet beach with golden sand. The waves that roll up on this secluded beach can sometimes be a bit rowdy — especially in the winter — making it popular with surfers.
On calmer days, though, Plum Beach is ideal for snorkeling. There aren’t any amenities on Plum Bay, so prepare to bring everything you’ll need for a fun beach day.
Baie Rouge Beach, St. Martin
This beach, also located in Terres Basses, boasts lovely views of Anguilla. Baie Rouge (Red Bay) gets its name from the pinkish-reddish sand. Waters are typically calm, and the reef is teeming with fish – a fantastic spot for snorkeling.
When visiting Baie Rouge, bringing your own food, beverages, and chairs is a good idea. This beach used to have concessions and may again in the future, but it no longer has any amenities.
Long Beach (Baie Longue), St. Martin
Long Beach is considered one of the prettiest beaches on the island. It boasts approximately two miles of sugar-white sand, and is home to the highly rated La Samanna hotel and several private villas.
Long Beach is also located in the Terres Basses community.
Grand Case, St. Martin
Grand Case's main beach is one of the most popular spots in St. Martin. It is lined with bars, restaurants, and water sports vendors.
Grand Case's waters are crystal clear and usually calm, making it a favorite with families. This beach also offers beautiful views of Anguilla and Creole Rock.
Simpson Bay Beach, St. Maarten
At 2.7 miles in length, this is one of Dutch St. Maarten's longest beaches. It has lovely white sand, and its waters are typically calm, making it a good choice for families with young kids.
Simpson Bay Beach, located across from the Princess Juliana International Airport, is surprisingly uncrowded. It does have some amenities, including a couple of beach bars.
