Between Catania and Siracusa
Sicily is the largest island in the Med, and for reference, it's the object that Italy's "boot" seems to be kicking. It's also topographically the most diverse; dense forests populate the interior, while golden sandy beaches line the coast, while views of Mt. Etna even offer a touch of snow! Near the capital of Palermo, you'll find Mondello, a beach resort area with seaside restaurants featuring specialties like pane e panello (chickpea fritters), and famous Sicilian ice cream. About an hour away you'll find the medieval town of Cefalu, with its steep rocky cliffs, narrow streets and fisherman's quarters-and you may recognize the sights from Cinema Paradiso, where the film was shot. Visit in the springtime and wildflowers, poppies and geraniums color the hills. The island is also home to orange, lemon and almond orchards, which cover the hills and redefine farm to table dining. Whether it's taking a cable car to the village of Taormina, exploring Norman arcitecture in Palermo, or simply taking a dip in the Ionian sea, culture and beauty abounds on this Italian isle.

Our Sicily villa rentals are located in or near the ancient city of Palermo and around the coastal resort town of Taormina. Many of our villas are in walking distance to beaches, or a short drive away. We have smaller one or two bedrooms, fit for a couple or two couples exploring Italy together, as well as a number of larger villas, ideal for families on a summer trip. Stylistically, most of our villas are representative of traditional Italian arcitecture, dripping in antique and colorful furnishings, though a few are more contemporary in décor. A villa in Sicily allows the space to truly relax and take in some of the magnificent hillside and oceanside views.
