4th of July Festivities
Stroll historic Lahaina and enjoy holiday specials in many ocean view restaurants and town shops. For an old-fashioned Independence Day celebration, listen to a variety of bands play in a free concert on the oceanfront Lahaina Library lawn. A fireworks display lighting the night sky over Lahaina's roadstead is scheduled for 8 pm, presented by Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunrise. Fireworks can be viewed from charter boats in Lahaina Harbor and on land throughout LahainaTown.

Maui Chefs Present...
This annnual Maui food-lovers' tradition spotlights twelve of the island's most innovative chefs at an elegant themed dinner and cocktail party. Paid admission includes an evening of 24 gourmet dishes, wines and spirits, plus live entertainment.

Maui County Fair
One of the oldest fairs in Hawaii and one of Maui's premier community events with a parade, carnival rides, island arts & crafts, horticulture displays, flower shows, lifestyle tents, livestock and more. The four-day fair is held at the Wailuku War Memorial Complex.
Lahaina Banyan Tree Hoolaulea
Held under the largest banyan tree in the state, this annual hoolaulea features arts, crafts, hula, food booths and music.
Halloween in Lahaina
Celebrated since 1990 as the "Mardi Gras of the Pacific," this is more than just a night on the town in costume! Over 30,000 revelers come to Front Street on Halloween night, which is closed to vehicle traffic from 4pm to 2am. The annual children's costume parade down Front Street at 4:30 pm kicks-off the evening. Other features include crafters, activities and food booths, live music and dancing. Lahaina Town sponsors The Great Halloween Costume Contest in Banyan Tree Park. Restaurants and retail merchants offer costume contests throughout the evening. Shopping centers feature Haunted Houses for kids during the week.
Produced by MJT Corporation, a professional builder and designer of Haunted Attractions for over 15 years, this marks the Fourth year that Ichabod's has appeared on Maui. With animatronics, creepy mazes and 15 rooms of nightmares, Ichabod's will feature over 4,200 square feet of terror. Children Shows from 1-5:30pm are not so scary guided tours for young audiences. Night shows not intended for younger audiences and go from 6-10pm. Open from Oct 23rd Through Oct 31st

Hi-Tech/Lopez Surf Bash
Maui's largest annual surf contest takes place at Hookipa Beach Park (North Shore Maui) Surf boarders, long and body boarders compete in 15 divisions.

January 2-8, 2012 on The Plantation Course at Kapalua Resort. The Mercedes-Benz Championship is the 2012 PGA Tour season opening event and only champions from the 2011 season may compete.

Chinese New Year Celebration
Held in Lahaina, Maui welcomes the lunar New Year with colorful and exciting lion dances on Front Street, parading through shops on Friday evening. On Saturday evening, the 800 block of Front Street is closed to vehicle traffic for a street festival that begins with a Chinese martial arts demonstration, followed by lion performances with traditional drums, gongs and cymbals, and firecrackers. Festival-goers will enjoy booths with ethnic foods, a tea house, children's arts & crafts, Japanese calligraphy drawing, and more.
Annual Whale Fest Celebration
Maui's largest celebration of whales -- voted "Best Community Festival" by Maui Time Weekly Reader’s Poll. This free, all-day family celebration of Maui's humpback whales takes place at Kalama Park (by the big whale statue) on South Kihei Road, Kihei. Features live entertainment all day, including hula and performances by some of Hawaii's most popular musicians. A Hawaiian craft fair will feature the work of local crafters. Enjoy a children's carnival, great food by Maui restaurants at the many food booths and pick up some excellent bargains on golf packages, accommodations, restaurant meals and art at the Silent Auction. There are informational displays about whales, the ocean and Maui's natural environment. Whale Day is a benefit for marine education programs for Maui's schoolchildren. Part of The Great Maui Whale Festival, a two-week series of events in celebration of Maui's humpback whales.

The Celebration of the Arts
This three-day festival held at The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua celebrates the rich heritage and culture of native Hawaiians from the past, through present and into the future. It's a unique opportunity to experience the authenticity of "Hawaiian heart and soul" through seminars, art, music and special shows.

April 21, 2012 – Festival at Hana Ballpark focusing on Taro, the staple food of Hawaii; featuring Cultural Demonstrations like poi-pounding, Arts & Crafts, Food Booths, Info Tent, and continuous entertainment, music and hula, by local favorite performers.
Banyan Tree Birthday Party
Honoring the birthday (planted April 24, 1873) of LahainaTown's famous landmark, the Banyan Tree, this fete includes a birthday cake, clown and piñata games, artists displaying nature artworks, and hands-on art activities for children. Admission is free.

Maui Classical Music Festival
The Maui Classical Music Festival (formerly Kapalua Music Festival) is an annual Festival bringing world renowned classical musicians to perform in different venues throughout Maui. The activities planned during the two week Festival are: 4 public concerts, 2 encore events (small venue), and a free community concert.
May Day Celebrations
Since May 1, 1928, May Day has been recognized as Lei Day in Hawaii when poet laureate Don Blanding inspired Honolulu residents to wear lei and have lei making demonstrations and contests on this day.

King Kamehameha Day
June 11th - a public holiday in Hawaii honoring King Kamehameha the Great. The annual Floral & Pa'u rider parade begins at the 900 block of Front St. to the Banyan Tree. An awards ceremony and cultural craft fair with Hawaiian music and hula follow. Held at Banyan Tree Park, Free.
Maui Film Festival
June 17-21, 2011 - Hawaiian culture and music are on the big screen in the annual Maui Film Festival at Wailea Resorts & Maui Arts & Cultural Center in Kahului. Fabulous film premieres, gala parties, celebrity appearances, Hawaiian music and dance.
Country fair with livestock auction, farmers market, local-style entertainment, crafts and food booths. Held annually at Eddie Tam Community Center in Makawao.
Kapalua Wine & Food Festival
Every year world famous wine makers, chefs and visitors assemble at the Kapalua Resort for a series of cooking demonstrations, wine tastings and gourmet meals. Since 1984, Hawaii's premiere celebration of wine, food and the good life has brought culinary and wine stars from around the world for fun, seminars and a gala dinner.
