Overall, Nantucket has something for everyone. It’s easy to imagine our villas filled with families whose children are running around the yard filling the house with laughter, swim suits cover the railing on the veranda, and bestsellers, newspapers and magazines lay strewn around waiting for their owners return. Or perhaps we’ll play host to honeymooners, discovering the island and checking into their private cottage steps from the beach, anticipating the week ahead, while deciding whether to open the champagne first or go for a swim? Or a group of friends getting together for a long overdue reunion, who are just as excited to see each other as they are to go shopping for the evening’s big festive meal….and then there are the classic summer events, the Wine Festival, the Film Festival, the Regattas, the Boston Pops weekend, the Noel Walk. The possibilities are endless and this magical island can cater to whatever the visitor desires.
Sunday rolled around and the late winter sun warmed me to the core as I strolled along the cobblestone streets of Nantucket town, walking past charming galleries and cozy bistros. I wanted to stay, and stay, but it was time to leave. The weekend had been unusually warm and sunny and the promise of the summer ahead was in the air. Nantucket has always been a very special place to me and I look forward to offering this destination to client’s who will love it too!
