St. John Villa CT MAG Description

Mango Bay, a 4-bedroom, 4.5 bath villa, offers unparalleled luxury & breathtaking views in an exquisite setting high above St. John's fabulous North Shore. Surrounded by lush landscaping with spectacular orchid gardens, Mango Bay is secluded deep inside the National Park lands at Estate Catherineberg, for ultimate privacy. The villa's arched entry, featuring native stonework, beckons guests into the peace & tranquility of this beautiful mountaintop retreat.

Mango Bay's centerpiece is the spacious Great Room, with its high beamed ceiling & graceful mahogany French doors opening on either side to the gardens above or the sea below. Even the state-of-the-art kitchen enjoys the magnificent view. The Great Room has interior dining, and a nearby patio features a trellised alfresco dining area as well. A wide balcony off the Great Room has large teak chairs for relaxing & enjoying the panoramic views of Cinnamon Bay in the foreground, and Jost Van Dyke & Tortola (in the British Virgin Islands) in the background. The view may also be enjoyed from the large heated pool on the lower level.

Each of Mango Bay's 4 spacious bedrooms (1 on the main level & 3 on the pool level) has private bath, unique indoor/outdoor shower, and king sleigh bed. (Please note that although the villa can technically accommodate 4 couples, the 4th bedroom has no view).

Mango Bay is an approximate 15-minute drive to Cruz Bay town, with charming shops, boutiques, restaurants, & interisland ferries. Villa guests have several options for accessing the renowned North Shore beaches: a pleasant drive through the Virgin Islands National Park leads to unspoiled Francis Bay (20 minutes); Hawksnest Beach may also be reached in 20 minutes, via Cruz Bay; and alternatively, a direct but rugged jeep road leads downhill from the villa to Cinnamon Bay (10-minute drive, 4-wheel-drive required). Four-wheel-drives are actually recommended for any guest on St John due to the island's terrain and winding roads.

For larger groups, Mango Bay is located near Hakuna Matata (CT HAK), and is in fairly close proximity to Le Chateau (CT CHA) & Island Sun (CT ISL).
