Why : There are four separate two-bedroom villas set around a central courtyard for each family to stay in giving everybody a bit of privacy and indepence. When the families want to get together, there is also a large barn on the property which includes a huge sitting room and professional kitchen. Sleeps up to 18 people. Beach-side Villas: Cap Benat, St Tropez
Why: A five bedroom villas set above a beach on the Cap Benat peninsula, this is a very private part of the coast and access to it is restricted. There is also a private harbour at Cap Benat where boats can be hired and sailing lessons organised. Sleeps up to ten people. Location: On the beach / 2 km to the shops.Cost: £8,386 per week
Best of Both Worlds: Il Baccatoio, Tuscany
Why: Great for children looking for sunshine and adults looking for a bit of culture. The four-bedroom villa is set equidistant between the beaches at Forte dei Marmi and the town of Pietrasanta, a gathering place from artists from all over the world. In the summer concerts and art exhibitions are held regularly here. Sleeps up to eight people. Location: 10 minutes to beach/ 10 minutes to Pietrasanta. Cost: From £3,200 per week
Total Luxury: Santa Marina, Mykonos
Why: A good choice for tired out parents. A villa set within a five star hotel providing guests with access to tennis courts, a beauty and fitness centre, private beach, the hotel’s helicopter and speedboat plus 24 hour room service. The villa has six bedrooms and an infinity pool. It sleeps up to 12 people. Location: 0.5km from the beach / 4km from town. Cost: From £5,400 per week
