Airports in the Caribbean Islands – A Photo Gallery

Many islands in the Caribbean do not have direct flights from the US or Europe. Instead, to reach treasured vacation spots like St Barths, Anguilla, Mustique, Virgin Gorda, St John and other small islands one needs to first fly into one of two regional airports – either the Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) in San Juan,  or the Princess Juliana airport (SXM) in St Martin. Hurricanes Irma and Maria swept through the Caribbean in September 2017 and briefly closed both airports. As of October 10 both are open and operational. Here are some photos illustrating what they look like now.

The Airport in San Juan – Open for business! Jet Blue, American, United, Delta, Spirt, Frontier and Southwest are all flying in. Tradewind Aviation has daily scheduled flights into St Barths.
