St. Barths Bucket – Results from 2013

The St Barth Bucket Regatta is held each year in March. For the owners of classic sailing vessals more than 100 feet long, it is the signature event of the regatta season. For more details about the event, read about the history of the St Barths Bucket Regatta.

While the weather was a little fickle, the 2013 St. Barth Bucket was a huge success. This race is rarely boring and this year was no different with some near misses (yikes) and lots of excitement and good humor from the crews.

Adela, competing in the Mademoiselles class, took home the coveted St. Barth’s Bucket trophy as the regatta’s overall winner. The “Wrong Way Around” race was a blast for the 36 superyachts participating as well as for the spectators on land who had the chance to view these powerful yachts slipping through the gorgeous waters around St. Barths. We are already looking forward to next years race. The dates will be March 27-30, 2014. Whether you are a seasoned sailor or just appreciate the beauty of these yachts, Bucket week is an incredible time to visit the island of St Barths.
