Shellona, La Plage and L’ll Rock Beach Bars Open for Business on December 27th

Three beachfront restaurants on the island of St. Barths reopen in time for the season: Shellona, La Plage and L’ll Rock.

Fans of St Barths rejoiced as the island passed another important milestone in its recovery from the hurricanes of September 2017. The reopening of Shellona, La Plage and L’ll Rock brings “feet in the sand” waterfront dining back to St Barths.

Shellona is located on Shell Beach, on the outskirts of the capital city of Gustavia. It’s a favorite to many as it is within walking distance to the shops and boutiques that ring Gustavia’s habor. As sunset approaches the restaurant features live music for its nightly sunset celebration. The restaurant is open daily from 10:30am to 8:00pm. Chef Yiannis Kioroglou and his team present authentic Mediterranean cuisine featuring flavoured grilled food seasoned with herbs and marinades. It has a sister restaurant in St Tropez on Plage de Pampelonne.

Restaurant La Plage is part of Tom Beach Hotel, located on St Jean beach, and has long provided the ideal spot from which to watch the parade of small passenger planes taking off and landing on the island. This season they feature a simple beach bar concept featuring wines, champagnes and cocktails along with a short appetizers menu … just in time for New Years. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
