June 2, 2021 Covid-19 vaccination report for St Barthelemy, from the Prefecture of St Barthelemy and St Martin

As of the 2nd of June,  4,850 residents of St Barts had received their first vaccine shot. St Barts has an adult population of 7,122 as of July 2020, this equates to an approximate covid-19 vaccination rate in St Barts of 68%.

As of the 2nd of June, 3 148 residents of St Barts had received their second vaccine shot.

Saint-Barths, report from regional health authority ARS: As of May 26, 2021,  4,612 adults  have received their first injection and 1,423 people have received their second injection.  Since January 18, 2021 the population of St Barthelemy has been vaccinated with the Astra Zeneca vaccine. Starting June 4, the Pfizer vaccine will also be available to the local population.

May 28, 2021, Covid-19 new case testing report from the Prefecture of St Barthelemy and St Martin

For the week of May 17 to 23, 2021, there were 4 new cases (source SI-DEP ARS, people tested in Saint-Barthélemy),. Since May 24, 2021 (current week 21), 1 new case of COVID has been recorded out of 111 rapid tests carried out.

In Saint-Barthélemy, The incidence rate of new cases from individuals tested is down again this week. It stands at 40.8 / 100,000 inhabitants, according to SI-DEP data, versus 61.3 / 100,000 in week 19. The positivity rate, down slightly this week too, is 0.5%, it remains below the vigilance threshold according to the SI-DEP data (vs 0.9% in week 19). No new cluster has been registered in St Barthelemy for 7 consecutive weeks.

May 19, 2021 – Covid-19 vaccination report for St Barthelemy, from the Prefecture of St Barthelemy and St Martin

Saint-Barthélemy:  The vaccination program continues by appointment at the CMS with the PFIZER vaccine. Appointments are made via the sante.fr site and the Maiia platform.

The vaccinodrome in the public stadium in St Jean, meanwhile, will be open from May 25 to June 4. As of May 19, 4,552 people have received their first injection and 1,049 people have received their second injection.

Saint-Barthélemy  vaccination registration procedures: The procedures for taking an appointment in vaccination centers for priority people and residents of the northern islands are to register online via the e-RDV platforms chosen by these vaccination centers, on the Sante.fr website.

January 18, 2021 – Covid-19 vaccination program begins

St Barts began a COVID-19 vaccination program on January 18, 2021. The first group eligible for vaccination are dependent elderly people (EHPAD) and health professionals in the broad sense (healthcare and medical-social institutions, health care providers, firefighters, first reponders) over 50 years old or with comorbidities.

Later in January vaccination centers will begin opening up appointments for the general population with priority for people over 75, while those over 65 with comorbidities will also be able to register for vaccination as soon as possible.

St Barts has an adult population of 7,122 as of July 2020. Vaccination experts have stated that for a country or island to reach herd immunity levels, 80% of the local population needs to be either vaccinated or have contracted the virus and thus have achieved some measure of immunity.
