Below, our Villa Specialists share iPhone snaps and details on what makes these new villas so special. Villa Specialists Ben, Kate, Anne-Marie and Bill stayed at WV GIN for a few nights in July. The road in Petite Saline was extended to build this house, and they all say, “You feel like you’re on the top of the world here.” Anne-Marie notes, “It’s the perfect villa for views, quiet and privacy.” The style is minimalist and modern, and three identical bedrooms on the main level make it ideal for couples. The other two guest rooms are on the lower level, next to the fitness room and Jacuzzi. Ben says the sunset views (seen from either the cocktail gazebo, infinity pool, or Jacuzzi) are pretty close to perfection, and even named it his new favorite villa.

The team loved seeing brand-new villa WV UTO and even met its architect Phillip Van Den Broek while visiting. Sarah says, “It’s perfect in every sense – from the towels and linens to the textiles and layout.” Ben says the master bedroom is one of the best he’s ever seen, but “what stood out most is the incredible artwork, with works by Desiree Dolron and photographer Robert Mapplethorpe.” Located in Corossol, it’s easy to get to both Flamands and Colombier beach, as well as into the harbor of Gustavia. “It’s ultra luxe, with an underground parking garage, and spacious bedrooms,” says Kate. “Plus, major views!”

It’s always exciting to add a one bedroom to the collection, especially one that is so raved about. Perched on the top of the cliff in Pointe Milou, WV LOV1 has has floor to ceiling views that Ben says “offer some of the most spectacular views of any one-bedroom on the island.” There is both a retractable roof in the dining room to let in light, and an original mural by French artist (and fashion designer) Jean Charles de Castelbajac.
Ben adds, “It really provides a romantic setting for the most discerning traveler, and one who appreciates great art and interior design.” Suzanne agrees, “It’s one of the most well-thought out villas.” Sarah, an assistant to villa specialists maybe says it best: “I thought this villa would be a wonderful escape from the real world for a couple. I particularly appreciated the contemporary artwork and thought it would be perfect for someone from my age group (not quite 40 yet!)”

The six-bedroom WV BLB that Steve remarks, “has every convenience,” is located not too far from Sante Fe restaurant in Gouverneur. Bill loves that it’s in a central location (minutes from both Gouverneur beach and a few more to Gustavia) but that is also has a “tucked-in” feel. The villa has a sweeping great room, with a dining room, kitchen and living room all in one, lending to the sense that it’s a true house for entertaining, or being with family and friends comfortably.
The master bedroom upstairs is particularly spacious, and the property has both a tennis court and fitness room. “Although I’ve only visited it at night,” adds Heather in the marketing department, “it is one of the more impressive places to entertain. There’s so much outdoor space and a giant pool, but my favorite part was the massive kitchen.”
Villa Legends B (WV LGB), 5 BR, Lurin

A five bedroom in Lurin, Villa WV LGB has easy access to both Gustavia and to Gouverneur beach, while still offering privacy. Both Bill and Ben were amazed at the wine cooler, which offers a wide array of wines that guests can choose from (a wine list notes each’s price). Truly perfect for wine connoisseurs. Beyond that though, Ben notes that its “full AC system and top of the line electronics—including underwater speakers—make it perfect for entertaining.” Anne-Marie loves that each bedroom has its own specific designer style—Chanel, Hermes, Saint Laurent, Louis Vuitton and Bulgari, all done in a truly tasteful way. Everyone agrees it would be a great house for a group of couples traveling together.

Villa WV OUS has more traditional Caribbean style, not often the case for our new villas, but each Specialist remarked at how astounded they were by this home’s beauty—particularly the artwork. Kate says it was one of her favorites of the week, and Anne-Marie calls it “elegant and very private” and notes that two of the bedrooms connect, which families with children will love. Jean, having an eye for style, says, “OUS was out of this world—beautiful art, furniture, linens and incredibly soft towels.” The pool is walk-in style, like a beachfront, and a soft ocean-color green.
Located in the charmed Pointe Milou neighborhood (where sunsets are some of the best), Villa WV DOL is a favorite among the team. “I appreciated the masonry work and dark woods,” says Sarah. “It’s unlike many of the all-white canvasses at other villas, and it would be fabulous for any group of eight.” Kate loved the decor, and Anne Marie says, “This is a great addition to our portfolio. It’s a perfect villa with views, privacy and high-quality furniture.”
