With an enviable beachfront location and stunning sunset views, this is an ideal base for a villa vacation by the ocean.

Classic Caribbean charms await inside, with splashes of bright color, antique colonial furnishings, and gorgeous vaulted ceilings. With its westward-facing orientation, you’ll quickly understand where this villa gets its name; the sunsets over the ocean are incredible.

Set on the rocky shores of Dever’s Bay, Villa Sunset Beach is surrounded by lush tropical gardens. Offering peace, quiet, and privacy, you’ll feel as if you have the island to yourself. However, the shops and restaurants in the village of Cruz Bay are a short drive away.

Living Spaces: The great room in the main house comprises a living area, dining room, and kitchen. Elegant furnishings adorn the space, with cool terracotta tiles matching the bright wood in the ceiling above.

The living room is furnished in antique reproductions from the Virgin Islands, a comfortable spot to unwind. The doors open onto the veranda, letting the cool ocean breeze wash through the entire space, encouraging you to sink into the slow pace of island life.

Kitchen and Dining Room: The modern, custom-built kitchen at Villa Sunset Beach overlooks the living room and dining area. With high-end appliances, cooking here is easy. Our concierge can even organize a grocery pre-stocking or delivery, or for special occasions, a catered meal or private chef.

The beautiful dining room table is made of wood, a rustic piece that encourages you to enjoy meals together as a group. For those who prefer to dine in the open air, there’s also a dining table on the covered veranda outside, overlooking the pool and ocean.

Bedrooms: There are 4 bedrooms at Sunset Beach Villa, each of them a breezy and bright space ideal for relaxing. Each is furnished with beautiful antiques, and also comes with air-conditioning and spacious ensuite bathrooms.

The upper level has two bedrooms, each with an outdoor shower and small balcony facing the sea. One bedroom has a four-poster queen-sized bed, while the other bedroom has a four-poster king-size bed made of wrought iron. These two bedrooms can connect.

The other two bedrooms are located on the pool level of Villa Sunset Beach. The first bedroom has a queen-sized bed and opens to the pool and sea view. The second bedroom is ideal for children or teenagers with twin beds or a king-size bed, and glass sliders that open near a pathway to the beach.

Outdoor Features: Comfortable armchairs on the covered veranda outside the great room make for great options when it comes to watching the sunset. Nearby, the hot tub at Villa Sunset Beach is a fantastic spot to pop open a bottle of champagne and toast to your island vacation.

Descending downstairs reveals the pool terrace, where the beautiful infinity-edge pool is a tempting spot to enjoy a refreshing swim. Surrounded by loungers and a wet bar, you could easily relax here all day, listening to the breeze rustle through the palms above.

A small ladder by the seawall leads to teak chairs and a nearby hammock, more spaces for relaxing. Steps away, the beach calls, with the tranquil tide rippling over the stony beach. Diving in reveals a wealth of marine life; this is a fantastic spot for snorkeling.

Amenities: Thoughtful amenities at Villa Sunset Beach help make this a top choice for an island getaway on St. John. This non-smoking property also has Wi-Fi, beach accessories, a gas grill, and cable TV. This villa shares its driveway with Villa Vida De Mar (booking code: CT VID).

Please note that the villa rates exclude a 12.5 percent government tax and a $50 security deposit waiver. Villa Sunset Beach on St. John comes with mid-week house cleaning services – contact your villa specialist for more details. During the Thanksgiving and December holidays, the villa rents at full occupancy rates regardless of how many bedrooms are used.
