Nestled in the hills above Cinnamon Bay, Villa Hakuna Matata is within minutes of the gorgeous North Shore. Featuring some of the island’s most stunning palm-fringed beaches, this is paradise in the Caribbean. Also within easy reach are the shops and restaurants in the nearby village of Cruz Bay, 10 minutes by car.

Living Spaces: The great room with beamed ceilings is furnished with antiques and collectibles from around the world. Home to the living room, dining area, and kitchen, it’s a great spot to spend some time with friends and family inside.

The living room features several plush sofas scattered around the space, ideal for sinking in and unwinding. With the doors open, you can also let the ocean breeze wash over you, lulling you into a deep state of relaxation.

Kitchen and Dining Room: The professional kitchen with a central island is a foodie’s dream space; creating meals here will be fun. The concierge can even organize a grocery pre-stocking or delivery to make things even easier. If you don’t feel like lifting a finger, why not let us cater a meal for a night, or even organize a private chef?

The kitchen opens onto a terrace with an outdoor dining area. The views are breathtaking: the undulating coastline of St. John is alluring, with sparkling bays and pristine white shores. It’s a magnificent setting for a festive island dinner.

Bedrooms: There are 4 bedrooms at Villa Hakuna Matata, private and tranquil spaces ideal for unwinding. The old-world décor continues in each, with tropical patterns and antique furnishings that help ground you in the destination.

Three of the bedrooms have king-sized beds, while one has a pair of twin beds. All four are ensuite and have a private terrace with views over the lush landscapes.

Outdoor Features: The outdoor living spaces at Hakuna Matata are sublime. The covered porch with a dining table also has a comfortable lounge area, a great spot for a sunset cocktail hour.

Descending to the lower level brings you onto the pool terrace, where you can spend your days lounging by the water, sunbathing, and cooling off with refreshing dips. A waterfall feature and the lush gardens make it feel as if you’ve stumbled across a small oasis in the jungle. The terrace also has an inviting jacuzzi.

If the open ocean is calling, a few minutes away by car is the pristine North Shore of St. John. With gorgeous white-sand beaches and sparkling turquoise waters, this is the Caribbean at its very best. Swimming, snorkeling, and sunbathing here are all sublime.

This villa is located near Villa Mango Bay (booking code: CT MAG) and Villa Island Sun (booking code: CT ISL), allowing larger groups to stay close to each other.
