This villa offers magnificent views over Great Cru Bay, Pillsbury Sound, and the nearby island of St. Thomas.

Offering a quiet island escape, Villa Adagio is a one-of-a-kind villa in St. John. The inside is all about celebrating the surrounding natural environment: wooden accents and natural stone feature in the design. Elegant, colonial-style furniture creates a graceful atmosphere, with the villa promising a relaxing and tranquil stay.

Nestled in the hills above Great Cruz Bay, the beach is a few minutes away. For restaurants, shopping, and some laid-back nightlife, the village of Cruz Bay is within 5 minus by car. The immaculate North Shore beaches are just a 10 minute drive.

Living Spaces: The open-plan great room is decorated in eclectic safari décor, evoking the feel of an exotic, jungle hideaway – albeit a luxurious one. There’s a living room, dining area, and gourmet kitchen altogether.

The focal point of the great room is its striking solar-heated indoor and outdoor pool, in the middle of the great room. Skylights above let in the Caribbean sun, and at night a series of lights illuminates it, making it one of the most unique pools on the island.

After a day of lounging in the water, the nearby living room features soft sofas and a flat-screen TV for relaxing.

Kitchen and Dining Room: With handsome wooden cabinetry and gleaming stainless-steel appliances, cooking in Villa Adagio’s kitchen is a pleasure. The concierge can even organize a grocery delivery, or for a special occasion, a private chef.

The gorgeous dining table back in the great room offers an elegant setting for an island feast. There’s a more casual table closer to the pool, as well as an outdoor dining table in the interior courtyard.

Bedrooms: There are 3 bedrooms at Villa Adagio, spaced out across the property to provide guests with peace and privacy. Serene and minimalist, the bespoke design echoes the aesthetics of a luxurious Indonesian resort. Each room comes with an ensuite bathroom and a flat-screen TV with cable channels.

The first two bedrooms are on either side of the great room, and both come with comfortable seating areas next to the sliding glass doors. One has a four-poster king-sized bed, the other a queen. Both ensuites feature an exotic outdoor shower made from natural stone.

The third bedroom is more secluded on the lower level, with a plush queen-sized bed, a sea-grass futon for extra guests, as well as a large shower and a sitting area.

Outdoor Features: From the outdoor terrace, you’ll be treated to incredible views over the island of St. John. Yachts dart back and forth in the bay, while the nearby island of St. Thomas twinkles to life at night. With views towards the west, the view of the sunsets from here are incredible.

There are several seating areas on Villa Adagio’s deck, offering comfortable spots to soak it all up with a cool tropical drink. For something even more relaxing, there’s a nearby hammock tucked away in the tropical gardens, while on the other side is the villa’s interior courtyard, surrounded by a lush tropical garden.

If you’re craving a day on the sand, the beach at Great Cruz Bay is just a few minutes away. Also nearby is the incredible North Shore, filled with pristine beaches and untouched landscapes. This is one of the most enviable locales in all the Caribbean.

Amenities: No detail is overlooked at Villa Adagio. This non-smoking property also comes with beach accessories, fast Wi-Fi, a Sonos sound system, a gas grill, and a washer and dryer. The house does not allow children between the ages of 8 months and 8 years. Please note the villa rates exclude a 12.5 percent government tax and a $50 security deposit waiver.

Villa Adagio in St. John comes with mid-week house cleaning services – contact your villa specialist for more details. During the Thanksgiving and December holidays, the villa rents at full occupancy rates regardless of how many bedrooms are used.
