Villa Palazzo, also known as BRV GIN, is a 6-bedroom villa in Tuscany, located only a 15-minute drive from shops in Certaldo Alto. Tucked into the rolling hills of the Chianti Valley, this stately fortress has its own tower and turret wall with a panoramic view of olive groves, vineyards, and the surrounding forest.

The castle dates back to the early 1200s, when the Conti Alberti, a powerful Longobard clan originating in the Elsa Valley, chose the location. Only 1 family owned the property until the 17th century. While the turret tower and stonewall showcase the history, this property has been beautifully renovated with modern luxuries. Actress Julia Roberts was among the first guests to visit the castle after its restoration.

This villa has been featured in international publications, such as InStyle, Italy Magazine, Vanity Fair Italia, 25 Beautiful Homes, and Gioia Italia.The property includes the main villa, an original medieval tower, and a 13th-century chapel, which was restored in the 18th century and dedicated to St. Bartholomew. The estate offers 2 large living areas with fireplaces on the ground floor. One living room offers access to a courtyard, while the second features hunting treasures.

Villa BRV GIN sleeps 12 people. The first floor master bedroom offers a queen-size bed, a fireplace, balcony, and bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub and handheld shower stall. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed or twin beds, while 2 other bedrooms on this floor are each furnished with twin beds. The ground floor bedroom has a queen-size bed. The sixth bedroom is located in the medieval tower and has a queen-size bed, fireplace, and small en suite bathroom with shower.

A covered terrace frames one side of the swimming pool. This villa also comes with private parking, a barbecue, satellite TV, WiFi and continental breakfast daily, except on Sundays. Cook service is available for an additional fee and meals should be ordered at least 12 hours in advance. Heat is not included. A security deposit of €3,000 is due in cash or traveler checks upon arrival.

The Italy trip was fantastic. The villa was something out of a dream and just gorgeous. We had more room than we could ever use. The bedrooms were all as advertised and the bathrooms all different but each had essentials and worked flawlessly. The best thing was the housekeeper who we hired to cook for us and were rewarded with each meal being better than the last. She is a gifted chef. She shared stories and kept us smiling. We even changed some trip plans to just enjoy the villa. Some of us went swimming in the pool! It was like the first swim of the summer. Thank you for the recommendation
