Villa Astra, also known as BRV STR, is a 7-bedroom villa in Tuscany, located within a 25-minute drive from Florence. Dating back to the 15th century, this restored, 3-level villa is nestled within a well-manicured park.

The entrance hall leads into a large, elegant sitting room, which features a flat screen satellite TV, large fireplace and plush sofas. The hall also leads to a separate, formal dining room with a blown-glass chandelier. These interior spaces are filled with designer fabrics, high quality furniture, and antiques. A well-equipped kitchen is also located on this level.

The main villa has four bedrooms, 2 generous queen bedrooms, each with spacious ensuite bathroom with tub/wall shower and a twin bedroom with ensuite bathroom with tub. On the upper floor (two sets of stair from the ground floor) is a twin bedroom with private bathroom with shower.

This villa can be rented alone or together with the annex to accommodate large parties.

The annex has a ground floor queen bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower, and direct access onto the garden and on the first floor are 2 queen bedrooms, each with ensuite bathrooms with shower.

All well-appointed bedrooms are provided with A/C and feature beamed ceilings, terracotta floors and large windows that flood the space with sunlight.

Situated 150 meters from the house is a private swimming pool and sundeck with an expansive gazebo (perfect for providing shade during hot summer days). The estate also features walking trails for guests to explore. This villa also comes with an outdoor dining area, private parking, a fireplace, washer and WiFi.

Villa Astra, or BRV STR, has house cleaning services available during the week. Ask your villa specialist for details.

* Note - the 2-bedroom annex of this villa, when not included in the rental, may be rented out separately. No outdoor common areas are shared between the main villa and the annex, so the privacy of the guests renting the main villa only is always guaranteed.

The Italy trip was fantastic. The villa was something out of a dream and just gorgeous. We had more room than we could ever use. The bedrooms were all as advertised and the bathrooms all different but each had essentials and worked flawlessly. The best thing was the housekeeper who we hired to cook for us and were rewarded with each meal being better than the last. She is a gifted chef. She shared stories and kept us smiling. We even changed some trip plans to just enjoy the villa. Some of us went swimming in the pool! It was like the first swim of the summer. Thank you for the recommendation
