Castaway to Villa Hurakan (villa code: WV KAN), a 3-bedroom villa nestled in the hillslocated in Colombier, St. Barts. Named after the Caraibe Indians’ God of Wind, this villa enjoys cool island breezes and breathtaking sunset views.
Inside, Greek-inspired décor mixes with splashes of nautical elements, creating a magnificent blend of Mediterranean and Caribbean style. 18th-century patina methods are used on the woodwork and walls, creating an earthy color palette that bursts with ochre, bronze, and terracotta.
At the center of Villa Hurakan is a spacious and comfortable great room, with a living area, dining table, and a galley-style kitchen. Vaulted ceilings of wooden panels contrast with the creamy, ivory-colored walls and furnishings. An eclectic mix of décor on the shelves adds plenty of personality as well.
Villa Hurakan’s well-equipped kitchen is bright, colorful, and a joy to cook in. Our concierge can organize grocery pre-stocking or delivery, catered meals, or arrange private chef service for a special occasion.
The indoor dining table is an excellent setting for festive meals with family and friends. If alfresco dining is more your style, it’s as easy as whisking your plate onto the covered terrace outside. The outdoor dining table lets you pair your meal with those incredible ocean views.
The bedrooms at Villa Hurakan are spread across the property and all accessed from the covered outdoor terrace that wraps around the villa. Each room has air-conditioning and an ensuite bathroom with exquisite tile work and feature a plush queen-sized bed.
Next to the lounge is an outdoor dining table, encouraging open-air meals in the cool evening. An inner courtyard features Mediterranean-style garden ornaments and a gas grill.
Steps lead down from the covered terrace to the pool deck. You’ll no doubt want to dive right into the clear and cool water, overlooking the hills rolling down towards the sea below. Loungers and plush daybeds let you bask in the island sun.
Another set of stairs leads down to a lookout deck, with a lazy swinging hammock and table and chairs, another ideal spot to admire the sunset. Below, you can watch as the yachts come and go out of Gustavia Harbor.
For beach days, you’re spoilt for choice. The village of Corossol with its narrow beach is a 5-minute drive, as is Flamands Beach to the north. Anse des Cayes is also only 5 minutes away by car.
During the December holiday the villa rents at the full occupancy rate regardless of how many bedrooms are used.
