The interiors of Villa La Romance perfectly reflect the name of this property; inside, expect intimate areas and a timeless mélange of contemporary and West Indies furnishings. With an enviable location in the hills of Merlette above Flamands, from almost every corner of the home, you can glimpse the shimmering ocean below. It’s only a quick drive to get there for a swim, while in the other direction, the capital Gustavia is tempting with its world-class restaurants and shopping.
Villa La Romance is spread over two levels, with a large and open-plan great room at the heart of the home. This room can open on both sides, allowing the natural breezes to cool the space and immerse you in the alluring tropical atmosphere of the Caribbean.
Combining the living room, kitchen, and dining area, the airy great room is a wonderful spot to gather with family and friends. In the living room, plush sofas and armchairs let you kick back and unwind with ease, watching the palm trees sway in the breeze through the windows.

There are two master bedrooms on either side of the main room. Directly below on the ground level are two more master suites. One of these is accessed from the parking area, while the other has access from a stairway on the opposite side of the house. The fifth bedroom is behind the kitchen, and although it’s slightly smaller than the master bedrooms, it also enjoys an ocean view. The sixth bedroom is below the parking area with views of the garden. Both of these rooms have a pair of twin beds that can be made up as a king. Each room also has an ensuite bathroom.
The contemporary design of Villa La Romance comes to the fore in the outdoor living areas. Elegant and contemporary, the style of the architecture makes the entire home blend into the beautiful natural surroundings.
You can enjoy the sun on the main terrace, with ample spots to lounge, sunbathe, dive into a good book, or drop off for a nap. The infinity pool is very tempting as well, offering a quick and easy way to cool off during the heat of the day.
On the other side of the main room is a cozy patio, bordered by a lush green garden. Here you’ll find a grill area and an outdoor dining table, ideal for island-style cookouts in the late afternoon.
During the December holidays, the villa rents at full occupancy rates regardless of how many bedrooms are used.
