Villa King Gustav is made for relaxing, with a range of calming neutral tones, elegant and high-end furnishings, and a tasteful collection of art adorning the walls. Vaulted ceilings and large doors and windows let in the dappled island light, mixing with the all-white interiors and pale woods to create an airy, tropical atmosphere.
Situated on the hill in between Gustavia and St. Jean, Villa King Gustav offers the proximity of shops, restaurants, beaches, and great views of the bay at the entrance to Gustavia. On a clear day, even St. Maarten can be seen on the horizon, and come sunset, the golden glow across the sea makes for a wonderful backdrop to enjoy a quiet drink.
Living Spaces: Villa King Gustav features a simple layout, embracing a clean and open design that encourages you to shrug off the rushes of modern life. The décor is simple yet beautiful, with superb attention to detail in everything from the lighting to the colorful accents of sea blue.
In classic Caribbean fashion, the main living area is open-plan, combining the sitting room, dining table, and kitchen in one space. In the sitting area, soft and contemporary sofas invite you to kick back and unwind, perhaps gazing out at the yachts on the water or enjoying a cool drink with a movie.
Kitchen and Dining Room: At the opposite end of Villa King Gustav’s living room is the high-end kitchen. Modern, chic, and minimalist, this space features all the latest appliances and a laid-back style that makes cooking here a real pleasure. And for a night off, why not let our concierge organize a private chef for an evening?
Bedrooms: Villa King Gustav is laid out in an L-shape around the pool; on one side is the great room, and on the other side are the 2 bedrooms. The rooms are separated by the outdoor dining area.
The master suite is to the left of the entrance, fully benefiting from the wonderful views. This room has a plush king-sized bed.
The guest bedroom features a queen-sized bed. Both rooms also come with plenty of closet space and a luxurious ensuite bathroom with a shower.
Outdoor Features: Outside, Villa King Gustav’s wonderful terrace space lets you bask in the island sun and gaze out at the shimmering Caribbean. With yachts sailing in and out of Gustavia, and some of the best sunsets on the island, this space makes for a wonderful spot to kick back and toast to your island vacation.
There’s a covered dining area for alfresco meals, with the sunset and inky evening as a backdrop. A deck surrounds the swimming pool, refreshing and cool, while a path leads into a lush garden beyond. Sunseekers will appreciate the loungers laid out around the pool, ideal for reading, sunbathing, or dropping off to the cool island breezes.
For days at the beach, you’re spoilt for choice as well. In Gustavia, the little Shell Beach is an exquisite and pristine slice of sand, with a tranquil bay that’s ideal for swimming and snorkeling. Larger St. Jean to the north is also tempting; this is the most popular beach in St. Barts, known for its silky white sands and striking turquoise water.
