Anguilla 5 Star Hotels and Luxury Resorts
Anguilla is home to several acclaimed five star hotels, and all of them are directly on the beach. From exceptional locations, fine beachside dining or the island's Greg Norman-designed Championship golf course, there are amenities and options to please everyone.
Some of the 5-star resorts and luxury hotels we represent are Belmond Cap Juluca, The Four Seasons-Viceroy, Malliouhana Auberge Resort, Carimar Beach Club and The CuisinArt Resort & Spa.
If you're sure that 5-star services & amenities, multiple bar and restaurant options including 24-hour in-room dining, fully equipped spas, and regularly-scheduled activities are best for your needs, then our Anguilla vacation specialists have equal expertise in arranging the best resort for your needs.
Renting Luxury Villas or Luxury Resorts - Which One Is Right for You?
It all depends on you and your party's travel style. If everyone is on the same page and wants a completely relaxed atmosphere, with no schedules to follow, then a villa rental is perfect for you. You won't miss out on services, because we can arrange them all for you: chefs, butlers, maids, and babysitters, as well as personal trainers and spa services.
If everyone has different expectations and service needs, then one of Anguilla's luxury resorts may be a better choice. Still finding it difficult to decide? Perhaps one of our villas with access to a resort's facilities? Our Anguilla villa specialists can help you choose and arrange that for you, too.
Where is Anguilla and Why Visit?
Anguilla is a small island with dual coral systems and an abundance of white-sand beaches and turquoise waters at the northernmost tip of the Leeward Islands in the Eastern Caribbean.
Its nearest neighbor is St. Martin, but Anguilla is far more calm, casual and relaxed but with its own authentic style, than the dual French/Dutch island to the South.
Anguilla is considered one of the safest islands in the Caribbean. You won't find casinos, high rise hotels or cruise ships stopping here and Anguillians are genuine and good-natured, likely because of these bans. Perhaps that's why celebrities flock here, although it may well be due to the island's acclaimed food and music scenes.
What Is the Best Time to Visit Anguilla?
Anguilla offers some of the best weather in the Caribbean, a sunny, tropical climate year-round. Due to its flat landscape, Anguilla does not attract rain cloud activity the way more mountainous islands would.
Average temperatures remain relatively consistent throughout the year, between 70°F and 85°F. Although humidity can be high in the summer season, the breeze from northeast trade winds blowing in relieves some of that. The tropical storm season, as through the rest of the Caribbean region, peaks in September and October.
How to get to Anguilla?
From the US, there are direct flights to Anguilla from San Juan, Puerto Rico (60 minutes). There is also the option to fly direct to St. Maarten and fly from there (8 minutes) or taxi over to the French side of the island (St. Martin) and take a ferry from there (28 minutes).
Whichever method you choose to arrive, your WIMCO concierge can assist in planning your journey and arranging flights, meet & greet as well as baggage handling services, and car & driver to get you to your private villa.
Unlike the US Virgin Islands, Anguilla is a British Overseas Territory, which means you'll need your passport with at least 6 months' validity to pass through immigration when you arrive.
What are the top five things to do in Anguilla?
Enjoy the beaches of course! Anguilla boasts soft, pearly white sand, as well as quiet coves and inlets that make up its beaches. From Shoal Bay, Anguilla's most popular beach, 2 miles long and easily walkable to Cove Bay where you can catch views of St. Martin as you relax in uncrowded comfort to Sandy Ground, known for its very local vibe.
Be Active. Anguilla's national sport is boat racing. With such exquisitely blue waters, you'd expect nothing less. Your Concierge will also recommend kayaking, sailing, and making those arrangements for you. Cliff diving, scuba, and snorkeling are all outstanding pastimes here and are easy to arrange.
Looking for something a bit more relaxing? Then a sunset cruise or horseback riding is just the cure for stress. See more of what makes Anguilla a great active getaway here.
Taste the flavors of this Caribbean dining destination. With its abundance of 5-star hotels and resorts, Anguilla offers world-class Italian and French cuisine to rival even St. Barts, as well as Caribbean-infused American and Asian cuisines.
With the freshest fish and seafood, you'll certainly experience the very best in boat-to-table dining at over 100 types of dining establishments. A few of our favorites are Blanchards, Straw Hat and Dolce Vita. Explore more Anguilla restaurants here, and be sure to ask your WIMCO Villas concierge for recommendations and/or reservations.
Tour Anguilla. Be it nature or history you wish to discover here, Anguilla has quite a bit of both, from excursions that explore the coast as well as the interior to view the incredible flora and fauna, to hiking to visit the rock carvings and petroglyphs left thousands of years ago by the island's original inhabitants.
Visit shipwreck sites, the island's only remaining plantation, or a salt mine. Your WIMCO Villas concierge is a resource for these experiences and many more.
Take Anguilla home with you. Shopping might not be as "haute" here as its neighbor next door, St. Martin, but you will always find fun and chic beachwear. sandals, hand-crafted jewelry, and bags, plus a huge variety of art and hand-carvings, sculptures and watercolors in galleries.
