BHS Open Gardens Program: Mid-January to early April
On Sundays the Barbados Horticultural Society opens a series of private gardens to the public. This is a great time to see the islands beautiful colors.
Barbados Independent Film Festival: January 11-20, 2019
Featuring international and regional films, this week-long event also includes filmmaker workshops, panel discussions, and film screenings.
Mount Gay Round Barbados Race Series: January 16-24, 2019
Three days of coastal racing in the 81st anniversary of the race. This event has been running since 1936 and boats compete in open-water sailing, including a race around the island.
Cricket League Tournament: January 18-21
This four day tournament includes six competing teams: Barbados, Windwards; Trinidad and Tobago; Guyana; Leewards. Barbados Pride Vs. Jamaica Scorpions will be held at 10 AM at Kensington Oval starting January 18.
February Barbados Events
Holetown Festival: February 1-17, 2019
The Festival commemorates the landing of the first settlers to Barbados at Holetown, St. James in February 1627. Highlights include street fairs, the Royal Police Band Concert, a Musical Festival in the historic Parish Church and a Queen Show.
Agrofest 2019: February 22-24, 2019
Hosted by the Barbados Agricultural Society. Farmers, Craftsmen, and "processors of agricultural products" are among many of the exhibitions at this annual event. Featuring nearly 60,000 overall visitors and over 250 exhibitions in the past, this years theme is "Youth Farming for the Future."

Sandy Lane Gold Cup: March 2, 2019
One of the biggest horse races in the Caribbean the Sandy Lane Gold Cup takes place at the Garrison Savannah. This is the turf event of the year in Barbados.

Vujaday Music Festival: April 3-7, 2019
Called a "thoughtfully curated selection of musical and cultural experiences." Attendees are invited to explore the beautiful landscapes of the island and dance on the beach! Locations include Farley Hill, Holetown, South Beach Zone, and the east and west coasts of the island. Events will go on the entirety of the week featuring world renowned musical artists and local favorite; particularly those in the house and techno genre. Oistins Fish Festival: April 20-22, 2019
The Oistins Fish Festival celebrates the life and contribution made by this fishing town to the overall development of the island. The program includes fishing, boat racing, fish boning competitions, a Coast Guard Exhibition, food stalls, arts and crafts, dancing, singing and road races.
Barbados Reggae Festival: April 27-30, 2019
One of the leading reggae festivals in the Caribbean, this festival is held on beaches and concert venues around the island and includes some of the top reggae artist in the world.

May Barbados Events
Gospelfest: May 18-26, 2019
Scheduled for Whitsuntide weekend, the last weekend of May. It is an international festival and attracts major Gospel talent mainly from the USA, UK and the Caribbean. The festival targets the Christian communities across the globe and receives the support of the Gospel music industry in Barbados.
Barbados Rally Carnival: Dates TBA
Two weeks of motor sport rallies with plenty of partying, socializing and fun activities in between.

Crop Over Festival:
The highlight of the Annual Cultural Calendar is the Crop Over Festival. This Festival originated on the sugar plantation as a means of celebrating the end of the sugar cane harvest season. The Crop Over Festival was revived in 1974 after a period of depression and involves community participation in fairs, concerts, cart parades and other cultural activities with an integral component being the Calypso Monarch.
Annual Sir Garfield Sobers International Schools Cricket Tournament: July 7- July 22,2019
Named after the renowned Barbadian cricketer, this tournament attracts local, regional and international Under-19 school teams.

Crop over 2019: August 1, 2019
Located in Bridge town, Crop over 2018 is Barbados' premier summer festival. A 200 year old tradition that celebrates the end of crop over features a Masquerade ball, lively music, extravagant costumes, and much more! More details to follow.
International Hockey Festival: August 19-25, 2018
The 33rd annual Banks International Hockey Festival is a 6 day-long event located at Kennington Oval. The competition is in four divisions - men, ladies, mixed, and veterans.

Barbados Open Water Swim: November 6-10, 2019
Started in 2013 this swimming event includes training and competitive swimming from recreational to advance levels.
Barbados Independence Pro Surf Festival: November, 2019
Located on the east coast, the Barbados Independence Pro Surf Festival is the biggest event on the Barbados surf calendar! Soup Bowl, the renowned surf spot located in Bathsheba, will be hosting the high performance event. Known around the world for its pristine surf conditions, the competition makes for a beautiful, fun, high adrenaline event for surfers and spectators alike.
Digicel Barbados Is Music Independence Concert: Volume 2: November, 2019
Known as "The ultimate showcase of Barbadian Musical Excellence," The Barbados Is Music features many well known musicians and performers on the island. Featuring special performances, guests, and DJs, it's a night of fun and dancing.
National Independence Festival of Creative Arts (NIFCA): November 30, 2019
Witness this friendly competition as Bajans showcase their creative skills in areas ranging from dance and music to photography and art. The festival is held annually to commemorate Barbados' Independence, and on Independence Day with an award ceremony.
December Barbados Events
Run Barbados Series: December 6-8, 2019
Described as "the road runner's best kept secret." Ever since the festival started in 1983, many of the world's top runners have, almost incognito, literally rubbed shoulders with the masses who run for fun. Several national champions from around the world have discovered the secret and done the "Run".
BOA Invitational Games: December, 2019
The Barbados Olympic Association along with the National Sporting Federation host the second BOA Independence Invitational Games. Featuring multi-sport games such as netball, fencing, badminton, swimming, rugby, surfing, and more! These events are only some of the many national championships during the Games and will be held at various locations: Pirates Cove, Brownes Beach, Bay St., and St. Michael. On December 9 and 10, the Barbados Rugby games kick off at 9 AM at Trents Playing Field, Trents, St. James.
Caribbean Rum and Beer Festival: December 9, 2019
Located at Rockley Golf and Country Club, the Caribbean Rum and Beer Festival allows patrons the opportunity to enjoy various rum and beer products as well as watch the "Rum Cocktail Wars;" a high energy competition sure for entertaining all those watching.
